The veteran who provided consistency and kept things in perspective team-wide, and the unproven kicker who learned on the job and became football's best.

#33 – Curley Johnson

Always cool under fire and consistent with his 43-yard punts, Curley earned the love and respect of his teammates with practical jokes and levity that kept them on an even keel, no matter the pressure. In the above photo, Curley is pictured with his unique, self-fashioned kick-off shoe.

#11 – Jim Turner

Jim Turner's skill on the field is undisputed. He set a pro football record in 1968-69 for points scored exclusively by a kicker at 145. That record holds up very well to this day, even against kickers, who compete in a 16-game season.
